Our Projects

WATER FILTERS

We serve in communities where access to clean and safe drinking water is a very big challenge. There is usually a spring water well that serves both both the people and their livestock which make the water contaminated. Through this project, FoHA gives families Water Filters that help in purifying the water they fetch from Water wells to make it safe for drinking. It costs $105 for a family to have a water filter

RAIN WATER HARVESTING

In addition to the water used by the people we serve being contaminated, this water is also in very long distances. Through the Rainwater Harvesting project, FoHA installs a system that captures rain water from the roof of the house, and directs it into the tank. We desire that the families we serve will have enough water both for their crops and home use.

DIGINITY KITS

Lack of access to pads, tampons and underwear is a HUGE issue for hundreds of girls in Uganda. When their periods come, they use mattress stuffing, newspaper or anything they can find to keep from missing school while menstruating. Worse, girls are often exploited in exchange for money to buy supplies. Through this project, FoHA intervene by giving these teenage girls dignity Kits to use during their menstrual periods. The kit includes simple toiletries like soap, a deodorant, undergarments and other sanitary supplies at a cost of only $30. Each kit is enough to get a girl covered for a school term

KABODE KITS

KABODE is a word used in a local language meaning one with a built up body, Through this project, FoHA gives nutritional Kits to children living with HIV/AID. These kits include food items like Porridge, Milk Powder, Rice, Margarine, Sugar, Cooking oil and Multivitamins to ensure that they are not mulnurished. The program also helps families have home grown food by giving them vegetable seeds to grow in their back yard gardens.
